HNC/ HND in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering production / maintenance environment is required.
Ability to manage time and efforts towards completing designs on time and within budgets is required.
Prior experience in the can and/or lid manufacturing industry is a plus.
Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting is preferred.
Must be able to read and comprehend electrical schematics.
Must have a good understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles; understanding of hydraulic systems and schematics is a plus.
Knowledge of compressed air systems, vacuum systems, cooling water systems, conveyor control, and other related manufacturing plant support systems is preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot machinery and production process problems is required.
Must be capable of working independently on technical problems with minimal guidance from the Operational Services management team or the Project Manager.
Must be able to apply knowledge from prior experience to new applications and new industries.
Must be able to present complex manufacturing concepts to customers with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Must be able to effectively interact with co‐workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts (e.g. Senior Management, Engineers, Maintenance and Operations).
Must be knowledgeable about industrial equipment that is applied to a variety of industries.
Computer skills and an in‐depth knowledge of Microsoft Office based programs are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently work on technical assignments, such as participating in equipment process audits, creating equipment specifications, equipment Pre‐Delivery Inspections (PDI’s), equipment installation, equipment commissioning and equipment servicing.
Debug PLC software and understand the various communication networks used.
Debug and modify HMI screens
Direct activities to ensure that equipment operation conforms to functional specifications and customer requirements
Provide daily jobsite progress reports using Roeslein standard format
Drive Continuous improve within the department
Support Roeslein products throughout their lifecycle to standardise processes across locations and reduce inefficiencies throughout.
Travel domestically and internationally ranging from 30-60% per year to assist site review, installation and startup.
Identify and translate patterns from voice of customer and project lessons learned to develop stand-alone product and project designs that meet market and business needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
